The Plot Thickens

Dear Mouse,

There were rumors that FBI and CIA engage the services of psychics to solve cases. Is there some truth about these two spy agencies are now in consultation with the entertainment people-directors, screenwriters and producers not to make a spy picture in the likes of Spy Games starring Sassy and my favorite—Brad Pitt.

And I thought, movies are based on true-to-life-stories or on world current events.

Someone is missing in the list. The novelist. There are screen writers who merely translate the novel into the movie screenplay. The author of the novel does the research and the web spinning.

WASHINGTON -- When the plot thickens, the CIA calls in the professionals -- Hollywood screenwriters. Addressing what the Sept. 11 commission said was one of the main failures of government -- imagination -- a senior CIA official said on Wednesday the spy agency was willing to "push beyond the traditional boundaries of intelligence." "We had our terrorism and counternarcotics analysts meet with Hollywood directors, screenwriters and producers. People who are known for developing the summer blockbusters or the hit TV show that often have a terrorism theme," said JamiMiscik, CIA's deputy director for intelligence.

Read all.

Aba, tawagin na sina Madame Auring at Rene Mariano nyan!

Although I remember catching this bit of news around November last year.

Also, there's this story about group of psychics used by the CIA during the cold war. It was shown on The Discovery Channel last year. They utilized Remote Viewing which by the way is offered as a course in U.P. according to a friend.

Hmmm... maybe I should apply for this job. Wonder how much it pays.
