Magkakonsensiya

Dear Mouse,

I was planning to post the testimonies against Andres Bonifacio but when I saw the news about the flood that killed more than 300 people, I digressed. I wanted to ask these questions:

How do the illegal loggers feel when they saw people clinging to the last object that they could hold of to save their lives?

How do the families of businessmen engaged in illegal logging and wanton destruction of environment wallow in luxuries from the windfall profits at the expense of people's lives?

Ano kaya ang nararamdaman nila habang nannood sila sa HDTV widescreen TV nila habang ang mga pananim ay sinisira, ang mga hayup ay inaanod at ang mga tao ay nakikipaglaban para sila ay mabuhay?

May konsensiya pa ba silang natitira ?

Dapat sa kanila ay ito.

The Ca t

i was reading one of the issues of natl' geographic mag n the issue is about rain forest. there was a stellite photo of the forest in the Phils., it was said that there is only 1% forested area in pinas.it was also said that the cutting of trees are also under the auspices of the politicians.it is also feared that the flora n fauna in Pinas is now on the verge of extinction together w/the smallest mouse deer in the world that is now extinct.it was also said that is the reason, during the rainy season in Pinas, it easily floods the lower areas n there is no more trees to hold the mountains that is the reason they are eroding. that is very sad for our country.walang bang "GreenPeace Movement" diyan?

We'll never learn. I don't see people bringing up Ormoc. After the big hullaballoo, nothing really happened.
This has been a problem for a long time now and in a few months, it'll be back to cutting and hacking.
Now, they're thinking of arming guards against these loggers. I may be wrong but wouldn't these guards be also part of that group? As JFK would say, Clusterf*ck!
We're so pitiful it's frustrating...

frat,

i hope that for every tree that falls for logging, there should be ten new that should replace it.

when i was a student, i joined a reforestration project.
there i learned that it takes more than twenty years to grow a tree that is good for logging.

Kunsensya? Wala sila nun, Cath. Grade school pa lang ako, itinuturo na ang effects ng deforestation. Walang nagbago noon. Wala pa din nagbabago ngayon. Bulok pa din mga loggers na yan!

It's not 300 deaths anymore. It's 600++ and counting... they're all useless deaths as I said in my post. They will never learn. Kahit maubos pa ang lahat ng Pilipino sa Northern and Southern Luzon, tuloy pa din sila deforestation.

These people all died in vain. May their souls rest in peace.

Wait for 2 or 3 weeks. Makakalimutan na ito...

Did they learn from Ormoc where 8,000 died?
