If you are a Filipino blogger and you think some action should be taken relative to the Inquirer‘s “Talking Points” maiden issue, I am inviting you to post your thoughts on the subject at midnight tonight and to retain your entry at the top of your index page for the next twelve hours.

Talking Points a blog or a weblog ? Shoe ermm or sue me.

As per blogger’s definition,a blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world. There are millions of them, in all shapes and sizes, and there are no real rules.

  • 1. Talking Points is a personal diary –NO
  • Blogs in Pinoyblog-yes
  • 2. Talking Points is a daily pulpit-NO
  • Blogs in Pinoyblog-yes
  • 3. Talking Points -A collaborative space- of what? Of commenters?
  • Pinoyblog-yes
  • 4. Talking Points -A breaking news outlet – Ha ha ha
  • Pinoyblog-yes
  • 5. Talking Points -A collection of links ? where ?
  • Pinoyblog-yes
  • What I read is more of a moderated message board where issues are raised and readers are invited to make comments. Blogs are personal opinions of the bloggers.Readers may or may express opinion on the blogger’s opinion.

In Talking Points, who are the bloggers? Commenters are not necessarily bloggers. Their comments are not blogs. So why call it a weblog. It hardly even resembles the weblog of Andrew Sullivan, the blogger they chose to give credit for the idea than our very own Sassy and MigzParas.

So Why call it a banana when it isn't one ?

ANO KAYO HILO ? o ayaw lang ninyong masabihang naunahan kayo ng pinoyblog.<p/>
