Graduate ka ba sa University of Claro M. Recto?

Dear mouse,

Before the different foreign consulates/ embassies imposed the authentication of college diplomas by the Department of Education as a requirement for valid documents and before birth certificates/marriage certificates have to be secured from the National Census and Statistics Office only, many Filipinos became instant accountants, enginyers and other professionals as graduates of universities of their choice through the courtesy of the master forgers at the University of Claro Recto. You can add years to your age or reduce the years with the faked birth certificates.

When I was a student in the university, I was surprised to hear that one dean of the college was dismissed due to forged documents of his doctorate from an American university.

So fellow Filipinos, forget the saying "ONLI IN THE PILIPINS.

Alvarado Street Corridor ID theft probes

Alvarado Street in Downtown Los Angeles is notorious as a haven of forgers and people looking for fake IDs for various purposes—employment, immigration, bank loans, etc. According to the task force statement, this is an ongoing operation which has been targeting numerous counterfeit identify document plants which manufacture and distribute false documents—driver’s license, birth certificates, school diplomas, etc.—in support of various identity theft and fraud schemes. The counterfeit documents are manufactured using highly sophisticated computer templates.

Mari,

let me justify first the claro recto forgers. then you can scratch me with your claws. one has to understand that these certificates are badly needed by our countrymen in order to get employment abroad. this is not being done for local employment...this is being done to be able go abroad and make some money for the upkeep on the family. one has to understand also the saying..."kapag gipit na, kahit sa patalim, kumkapit". one example is when i was working w/an international japanese shipping firm. i was hired because i have an american passport and know labor arbitration, plus it is easy to travel with and American passport. the company has at least 8 nationalities working for them, one of the nationality is Pilipino. when i was sent to Greece and was staying there for nearly 6 mos. i have encountered lots of pinoy who work in Greece as domestic helpers and care givers and baby sitters. the requirements of the Greek gov't for the pinoy to come over and work as domestic helper and care givers and sitters, is to have a degree and diploma in nursing. so i found out, our kababayans in their desire to be able get a job in Greece, ordered this diploma and certificates. they were able to come to Greece and yes, they were able to send money back home. but when it comes to forgeries in the states, like green card and social security ID's and drivers license that is a diff. story. i can only justify in a way, why our kababayans are patronizing our Da Vinci Code people from Claro M. Recto. you can reach me with your claws now. meowwwww!!!

totoo yan frat,
and the embassy people would not know these not until some Filipinos tipped them off of the practice.

SO the US embassy formed a fraud division to look into these papers.

some countries send letter of inquiry to universities for degrees accorded to the foreign students.
