At the Palace, apparently resigned to the decision of the House to fully restore the pork barrel in the 2005 budget, Budget Secretary Emilia Boncodin yesterday joined the chorus of legislators defending the much-maligned pork barrel system.

"The wastage of pork barrel is now very limited compared to, say, 10 years ago. Now, I would say only a very small percentage (is lost to corruption). It's just that in the minds of the people, pork barrel is associated with corruption," Boncodin said in an interview over Radio Mindanao Network.

Boncodin issued the statement defending the pork barrel, officially called the Priority Development Assistance Fund or PDAF, in the wake of allegations that it had been abused and was perceived as a major source of corruption.
Dahil hindi lang sa Senado at Congress ang corruption.pati rin sa military.
Kaya ang tingin ng publiko ay nabaling sa military.

It takes a higher level of wisdom to let go of an absurd cause. It takes a higher form of wisdom to acknowledge that what you hold to be true was a lie all along, and there is simply no sense in holding on to it.
Yeah, a higher form of wisdom than the "W" that you require your critics to have. In fact it seems illogical, Cath, for us to use our wisdom in understanding your comments, because your literary attempts are too stupid. If I have to choose between Cathcath blog and Sweet Valley High, I'd go for the valley high...

Do not give importance to Cathcath's blog. A more informative blog (with discussions) would be http://flyingroc.org. Cathcath's blog blindly defends Patricia Evangelista, the stupid young bitch who calls herself a journalist. Pat Evangelista is the one that propagated the info in her column at one of the briadsheets in the Philippines, without first verifying the facts.

The fact: We (or at least ME) admire Patricia for winning in London. She is an inspiration, an idol. Shaq of the Miami Heats is also my idol. If he punches another NBA player over a foul, and apologizes WITHOUT THE IFS, BUTS AND BECAUSE realizing that he erred, then he will be a step closer to humanity and will deserve more of my admiration.
I could have done the same for Patricia. The problem is, she has a lot of excuses in her "apology". That was a real turn off for a pinoy who once admired her accomplishment. It was just one small mistake (the Faye story) and could have been rectified by an apology like that of Rev Saquing.
Cathcath fails to understand this. Anyone who criticizes Patricia would be branded a crab with no "W". Tama si Batman, with cathcaths caliber, she should know better.
