Britannica’s more detailed description of the term says that cinematography is the art and technology of motion-picture photography. It involves such techniques as the general composition of a scene; the lighting of the set or location; the choice of cameras, lenses, filters ...
So if Ramona Diaz won that award; it is not because of Imelda who according to XP "truly embodies the beautiful and the truly ridiculous" but rather it was the talent of Diaz as the film’s producer who won the raves of the judges.
Imelda claimed that she is just a simple person so "why make her as a problem".
If every person who ordered the closing of big department stores in the US so she and her jet setting friends could shop until they dropped then everyone would wish for a simple life.

wow, congratulations kay ms. diaz for winning at sundance. quite an honor.
pangit lang nga ang topic... imeldific. ano kaya ang treatment ng film? paano kaya ang perception ng mga non-pinoy rito? comedy rin kaya na tulad ng mga reception ng mga non-japanese pag napanood nila ang pelikulang "lost in translation". natawa kaya ang mag hapon sa "lost in translation"? hindi siguro ano?
anyway, sabi ng mommy ni CNN's veronica pedrosa sa kanyang librong, "the untold story of imelda marcos". deprived daw si imeldific nung childhood niya dahil illegitimate child siya at dirt poor. as in walang pambili ng sapatos... hence, her obsession with shoes nung siya's nagkapera.
alam mo cat, i wouldn't mind her extravagance if she can prove it was all private money! what i find truly ridiculous are her pronouncements! entertaining, if only they weren't on our expense. - XP

Sama ko jan Doc. I have always been a very simple man kaya kayang-kaya ko yung lifestyle ni Imelda. BAsta wag lang nakaw ang gagamitin kong pera ha. MAhirap na, baka ma karma.

Ang alam kong pinakasimpleng buhay niya ay magkaroon lang ng 4 na building sa Manhattan na agpag-aari ay itinago sa pamamagitan ng mga dummies. (hindi yong mga dummies na mga tanga). -ani Katherine...isang awtor na Pulitzer awardee.
