Haunted is a word the souls might not like. Siguro, mas okay na din na tawagin silang transients or tenants. After all, that's what they are for the meantime right? Other than souls, there are also elementals that like dwelling in places that are "dark and desolate" like what you mentioned in Sassy's Antipolo hotel entry. Pity the anxious man with both souls and elementals in his abode.
There is really nothing to fear. Mas tama pa nga na matakot ka sa buhay kasi they can inflict direct harm to you. I agree with you. Understanding lang ang kulang, puede naman mawala ang takot. But as it is, malayo pang mangyari yun.
cAt, if ever I got the opportunity to visit the States, chances are we might meet and you would invite me to your house, promise me you'll never leave me alone, okay? Kahit malaking lalaki ako, dwakang ako sa ganyan e. hehehe
Seriously, I think tama si doc. We have more to fear the living than the dead, kaya lang talagang nakakapanindig ng balahibo yung unexplained e no?

After encountering a lot of these entities, I became used to seeing or hearing them. Sometimes,I have to turn off my " antennae " too. When I was a kid, I was afraid of being alone and sleeping in the dark.
